VB ELF is installed by running the setup program found on the VB ELF CD-ROM
or downloaded from our server. The installation program is called either
VBELFPAK.EXE or a similar name, depending on which configuration you have purchased.
By default, VB ELF will install itself into the Program Files directory. It will also
create a program group, giving you quick access to the samples and documentation we ship
with the software.
Developers often begin using VB ELF by downloading ONLY the source code and compiling it on their
machines; this way they're up and running before the CD even arrives. If you follow this
plan, you'll need to review the VB ELF Developer's Document to make sure that all the third-party
controls used by VB ELF are available on your system, with the appropriate design time licenses.
Don't worry; we haven't used anything that doesn't ship with Visual Basic itself...and all the
components are carefully documented in the Developer's guide.
VB ELF also sports the standard method for uninstalling a Windows application. Just select
Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel (reached via Start/Settings on the Windows taskbar).
Pick VB ELF from the list of uninstallable applications.
