Grid / Graph / Split (Worksheet)The Grid, Graph and Split buttons select between the three main viewing modes of the Worksheet: datasheet (only), graph (only) and mixed grid/graph. The relative widths of the grid and graph sections can be adjusted using the Slider control. The graphs that are generated are essentially "guesses" by Access ELF about which fields you want to see. If there's too much or too little information (for example, if too many label fields are included) you may want to hand-tailor the graphs so that they feature the values and labels you're interested in most. For instructions, see the Restrict Rows and Chart topics. When working with very large datasheets, you may click on a graph button only to realize that charting the thousands of records may take longer than you're willing to wait. In this case, press the Escape key to interrupt the drawing of the graph. Since there's not much more to say on this topic, we might as well use this space to explain why all the controls -- up to and including these buttons -- are crammed into the left half of the Worksheet header, when there's so much empty space on the right. The reason is not the usual "This space intentionally left blank." The reason is that Access ELF is designed to be used at any screen resolution down to and including 640x480. At lower screen resolutions the controls completely fill the Worksheet's width. See the Low Resolution topic for more details.
