Search In dropdown (Settings/Views tab)

You can also choose to see all Views presently located in the "Search In" directory, whether or not they're related to the currently open database.

In general, this option should be set to "Show Views matching this database only", since only Views created using the current database are likely to yield SQL translations which bear any relationship to the MDB in use. This option is provided as an administrative tool. This ability can sometimes make it easier to remember where .ELF directories are located and which databases have defined interfaces.

Note that the "Search In" directory shown on the Views tab and the "Save To" directory shown on the Express/Custom Analysis window are the same. See the Save To topic for more information.
